About

Mission Statement
The Extended Day Program provides safe and affordable, child care to Willingdon students before and after their regular school day. Homework supervision plus a variety of Extra Curricular courses, games and activities are incorporated into the program.
Our mandate is to provide safe and affordable before and after school programs to working parents, while striving to include quality enrichment (EC) programs and excellent homework supervision, within this framework.
This is a non-profit program.  When possible, financial aid is made available to families requiring assistance.

History
The Willingdon Extended Day Program (EDP), originally a Home and School initiative, was set up in September 1997 by parents like you. We combined the established and popular Extra Curricular Program with quality before and after school programs, therefore meeting the expressed needs of working parents within the community. The Extended Day Program combines three main areas/programs: the Before School Program, the After School Program and The Extra Curricular Program.
We continue to be a non-profit program run by the EDP parents’ committee and existing under the umbrella of the Willingdon Home and School Association. We are proud of the fact that we continue to meet family needs, and that parents have a clear voice in our program.
